GlObAl VoIcEs
Global Voices is our school's environmental leadership group which is made up of student representatives from each class from foundation through to Year Six, the Yr. Six Environmental Leadership Group and a staff rep. The team meet for half an hour on a fortnightly basis. This provides time for the students to report back to their class and to implement actions as needed.
During these meetings the team discuss sustainability issues and organise various sustainability systems that operate within our school, such as our waste and recycling bins, wrapper free lunches, biodiversity initiatives, energy reduction incentives etc...
We would love to have representatives from the wider school community join our team, so if you are interested in sustainability and would like to be a part of this highly motivated environmentally conscious team, please contact Sarah Page.

Week 8 - Thursday 3rd September 2015
We met as a Global Voices Team in the ART Room, where we worked very busily to create a 'Wrapper Free' Poster for each classroom. We spoke about the ways we can promote healthy wrapper free lunch box fillers in our classroom, and revisited why this is an important cause.
We also reminded reps to give their class a gentle reminder to turn their lights off when leaving the classroom. It was recommended that each class choose a 'Flick the Switch' monitor.
Our next Global Voices meeting will take place on Thursday 17th September 2015. Wrapper Free Raffle tickets will handed out to each class, along with a little explanation of the raffle.
